Christchurch Electrical has always been a firm believer in supporting the community it works within & one of the ways it does this is to sponsor local groups, including being a long term sponsor of the CBHS rowing team.
2021-2022 Rowing Season
At the Meridian Energy South Island Rowing Champs at Lake Ruataniwha in Twizel, the Christchurch Boys' High School Rowers did their club proud producing some great results on the water & showing that they truly are fine young men off the water.
The weekend saw some promising results from the CBHS Rowing Club in their Laszlo Boats taking home 9 medals in total.
The boys won medals in the following events:

🥈Mens U19 Coxed Four - Silver
🥈Boys U16 Coxed Four - Silver
🥈Mens U19 Coxless Pair Oars - Silver
🥈Boys U16 Coxed Quad Sculls - Silver
🥈Boys U15 Coxed Quad Sculls - Silver
🥉Boys U17 Double Sculls - Bronze
🥉Boys U17 Coxed Quad Sculls - Bronze
🥉Boys U16 Coxed Eight - Bronze
2019-2020 Rowing Season
Although the team sadly were unable to compete at the Aon Maadi Cup in 2020 due to COVID 19, they have still had a fantastic season winning the points Bell at the Meridian Energy South Island Secondary Schools Rowing Competition held at Lake Ruataniwha in Twizel during March 2020 and the boys thoroughly enjoyed rowing their impressive fleet of Laszlo Boats NZ through the season.
One of their highlights was breaking the Concept2 Inc. World record on the ERG which was covered by 1 News.
